I am Alejandra.

My name is Alejandra and I am a writer, director, and creative.

I was born in Mexicali, Baja California, raised in the deserts of Arizona, and now based in Los Angeles, California. I attended Santa Fe University of Art and Design with a full-ride scholarship from Robert Redford and the Unique Voice Initiative.

I was a Staff Writer on SELENA: THE SERIES, Part 2 on Netflix, and have written for New York Times’ Podcast, MODERN LOVE

I direct short narratives; from music videos, commercials, and short films. Some of which are Official Selections at the Beverly Hills Film Festival, Phoenix Film Festival and New Mexico Film Festival.

I love to use the art of writing and directing as a way to dive deeper into the human condition. Having gone through the immigration process for 21 years, I’ve been compelled to start at conflicting worlds, family relationships, identity, and power.
